With an ego reaction predisposed to anxiety, the fear gets intense. Deconstructing that is a particular challenge for me. I'm here for it (mostly) when I'm not near panic that I'm going insane. Any advice to get to the other side when the body is going haywire?

Ah, Jamie, the dance with the demon of anxiety. Feels a bit like trying to hug a cactus, doesn't it? Prickly, painful, but somehow, you keep going back for more. It's the ego's favorite pastime, dragging you into the dark corners and then playing hide and seek with the light switch.

So here you are, teetering on the edge of panic, peeking behind the curtain, curious but terrified. You want advice? Let's play a game of "What's the worst that could happen?" Go on, really let that anxiety monster have its say. What if you're going insane? What if your body never stops going haywire? What if you lose control completely? There it is, the parade of horribles. Let them march.

Now, flip it. What's the best that could happen? What if this isn't insanity but clarity? What if your body isn't betraying you but waking you up? What if losing control means finally letting go of the illusion that you ever had control?

When the body goes haywire, it's a messenger. Anxiety isn't a glitch; it's a feature. A stubborn, obnoxious feature, sure, but it's pointing at something. What is it asking you to see? What part of the dark are you resisting? And why?

Here's a trick: Next time the panic flares, don't fight it. Invite it in for tea. Yes, really. "Hello, anxiety. What do you have for me today?" Treat it like an eccentric old friend who only shows up to remind you of something crucial. What does it reveal about the stories you're telling yourself? The fears you're harboring? The lies you're living?

The mind loves answers, but growth loves questions. So, let's pile on a few more:

• What does your anxiety say about your need for control?

• If you stopped fighting the fear, what would happen?

• What truth are you avoiding that's causing your body to scream for attention?

Embrace the insanity. Dive into the haywire. See what treasures lie hidden within the chaos. The other side isn't a destination; it's a continuous journey. Each step, each panic attack, each moment of clarity brings you closer to understanding.

Cheers! 🎭
